Review: Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm

Hello? How have you guys been? My life is kind of hard right now; it mainly consists of studying for my Panhellenic Exams, which means I'll be busy for a whole year +_+
On another note, I've been doing a lot of online shopping and today I'll review the cutest lip balm I own (or have seen generally, to be honest).

It looks like a cupcake! Most people prefer the pink one of the same collection but what can I say, I love this one.
 This is what the bottom looks like, not that I can read anything. The downside is that it comes without a box so you can't read the ingredients. I really hope it doesn't contain mineral oil ;____;

How gorgeous is that color? And the best thing is, it totally smells like a cupcake. One day I was applying this and my brother was like 'what smells so nice?'. It's a really sweet, yet kind of artificial scent. Very very nice!

Time for before/after pictures!
Here comes the disappointing part. On my lips you can't really see it. It makes them glossy, slightly more red (you can't see it very well on the pictures but it is kind of pigmented), but that doesn't last. This is a lip balm though, not a lip tint, so I can't really blame it. So how does it serve as lip balm? I don't have chapped lips at the moment but I don't feel like it is super moisturizing. It's nice but I'm not sure if it would cure extreme dryness. I'll update this on winter, that will be the real challenge!
I got this on sale on Cosmetic Love, it costs $7.86 now. If you think it's worth it (I, for once, don't regret this purchase), give it a try!

  1. Ooo! These look so adorable, I was actually about to go crazy and buy the whole set only for the packaging! I wouldn't have mind if this was short lived but really moisturizing, but meh. If it's not too moisturizing, I guess I'll skip this one. Thank you very much for the honest review! *___*

And thank you for commenting on my blog - Good luck on my Etude house CC cream giveaway! ^__^ <3 Now following your adorable blog, hehe.

I've found the lip balm sold here: http://www.hh-candy.com/product-category/bath-body/ to be very moisturizing so you can check them out whenever you feel like it~
You're welcome, your reviews are always very honest too, which is why I love them so much ;__; <3

Oh, it's okay! I love participating on such things even though I've never won anything, it's the thought that counts! Your blog was awesome anyway and I had an account on Cosmetic Love for ages so it's not like I had a lot to do x'D
Ohhh, thank you, I'm touched :'D

  2. Cute blog! :D I love Korean cosmetics and makeups as they tend to suit me best complexion wise and texture wise. I am planning on starting my own Korean makeup blog soon and I thought it would be a good idea to check out other blogs as well! Anyways your reviews are really great as they are super thorough, something which many other blogs lack! :) I have followed your bog if that is okay? Thanks xD

    1. Aww thank you, I don't get such nice comments everyday! *-* <3
Same, they suit me more even if I'm not Asian; plus the ingredients are usually better :3
Yes, do it girl! I had been thinking about it for a while before I did it and it's totally worth it because you get to vent or rave about something, makes you feel relieved xD
Ohh, thank you so much! ;___; I try to make them thorough but I tend to forget things.
It's totally okay, thank you! (even though I can't see your name in the list, maybe it's just me xD) When you make a blog I'll also follow you! :3
